Functional description of Pine Door Company General Manager position:
- The General Manager/Chief Operating Officer is responsible for implementing the overall vision and goals of the company ownership. The basic job functions of the general manager include providing the necessary planning, organization, hands-on direction and emphasis on quality services to meet the established business goals.
- The General Manager must provide expertise by assisting in the formulation, development, and implementation of Pine Door Company marketing and operating strategies and policies.
- Successful candidate for position must guarantee the growth and success of the Pine Door Company by ensuring that all employees meet or exceed established guidelines.
- The General Manager must also provide ongoing support and expertise to all management and production personnel for all revenue-dependent activities in the Pine Door Company.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education Minimum: Bachelor of Science in Business. Courses in operations management and experience in wood/construction related field helpful.
- Education Preferred: Masters Degree in Business including operations management combined with a degree in a wood/construction related field.
- Experience Minimum: 10 years working in the wood/construction trade, hands-on.
- Experience Preferred:10 years in the trade, including at least 5 years supervisory and 3 years management experience.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
- Manage the door manufacturing process. Manage the production and office staff of the facility to maximize inventory turnover and to maximize profit. Ensure that reports are accurately completed and submitted as required.
